As blogged in my last post, I saw two wonderful articles.

The second article was entitled Gay Michigan student defends suspended teacher.

What impressed me about the article was the students speech.  He spoke as if he was a ver versed adult.  One could tell that he spent his time and thought behind what he said.

Nobody should be criticized, teased or injured for who they are or what they believe.  Every person deserves respect and to be treated as an individual.  The teacher in this article was only trying to make his classroom a safe environment for all of his students, one where they don't have to be afraid to be themselves.  He was suspended for two days for it.

I am on the same side as the student and the teacher.  What he did in that classroom was the correct thing and what that student did in that room, was amazing
